Bath Rugby have moved to the top of the Aviva Premiership table with an emphatic 25-6 win over Harlequins at the Recreation Ground this evening.
Matt Banahan went over in the corner inside the opening 10 minutes after a quick break from Horacio Agulla, and the home side continued to dominate the first half, leaving Kyle Eastmond with an easy try shortly after.
Nick Evans kicked penalties either side of half time to keep the visitors in contention, but they rarely threatened to score a try.
Harlequins defended well for much of the second half to restrict Bath, but crumbled late on as Kyle Sinckler and George Robson were sent to the sin bin for separate incidents just four minutes apart, leaving the visitors with just 13 men on the pitch for a time.
Ross Batty and Leroy Houston made the most of their opponents' errors to score late tries, ending any hopes of a comeback for Quins.
The win moves Bath three points clear of defending champions Northampton Saints, who are yet to play this weekend.
