Gloucester Rugby have held on to seal a narrow 22-19 win over London Irish in the Aviva Premiership.
An early move from Eamonn Sheridan got the Exiles off to a strong start, as he got the ball to Fergus Mulchrone to burst through a gap and open the scoring inside the first minute of the game.
Billy Twelvetrees led the attack for the visitors in the first half, collecting a loose ball to set up Jonny May for a try, while also adding 11 points from kicks.
Sheridan got the home side back into the match after the break, scoring two tries in the space of 15 minutes, leaving them just a penalty down with 10 minutes left to play.
Shane Geraghty had a chance to level the score with a penalty inside the last five minutes, but his effort at the posts drifted just wide, while a Topsy Ojo effort at a late try was denied following a review.
