London Wasps director of rugby Dai Young has insisted that he made the right decision to appoint James Haskell as the club's captain.
The England international flanker was named Wasps' new skipper at the start of the season, replacing previous captain Chris Bell.
After guiding the team to a 20-16 win over champions Northampton Saints in the Aviva Premiership on Saturday, Young believes that Haskell is the correct man to lead the side forward.
"I think people were quite surprised when I picked him as captain," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "Outwardly he can be a little bit showbusiness I suppose, but in the camp he is a real role model."
Wasps return to Aviva Premiership action this Saturday when they travel to Harlequins.
