Sale Sharks are still without a win in the Aviva Premiership this season as they were beaten 20-8 by Leicester Tigers at Salford City Stadium.
The hosts got off to a storming start when Rob Miller went over with just five minutes on the clock, but Nick Macleod was unable to make the conversion.
George Ford and Macleod then exchanged kicks before the Tigers fly-half put a second penalty between the posts as the Sharks went in 8-6 up at the break.
Ford kicked over again two minutes after the restart to give Leicester the lead for the first time in the match.
The visitors landed the killer blow soon after when Ben Youngs touched down. Ford was unsuccessful with the conversion but made amends with a fourth penalty of the contest.
He then wrapped up the win eight minutes from time as another kick sailed through the posts.
