Sale Sharks have continued to ease their relegation fears with a 32-9 win over Gloucester in the Aviva Premiership this evening.
The home side dominated from the start, as Johnny Leota added a try inside the opening minute, while Dwayne Peel and Cameron Shepherd also crossed the whitewash in the first 40 minutes for Sale.
Sharks were also strong defensively in the first half, with the visitors' only chances falling to Freddie Burns with the boot, adding six points through penalties.
Another Burns penalty after the break helped reduce Sale's lead, but the visitors had to play the final 10 minutes without Dave Lewis, after the scrum-half was sent to the sin bin for a deliberate knock-on.
Sale made the most of their extra man, sending Peel over for his second try of the game, securing the bonus point for the home side, before Mark Cueto added to the score in the 80th minute.
The result moves Sale up to 10th in the table, while Gloucester remain fifth.
