Burton Albion will be looking to lift themselves off the bottom of the League One table when they welcome Charlton Athletic to the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.
Burton ended a run of two consecutive defeats last time out when they beat Needham Market in the FA Cup, while Charlton have won their last three games in all competitions and will be aiming to maintain that unbeaten run here.
Match preview
Burton Albion managed to put their woeful league form to one side last weekend, and dispatch non-league Needham Market in the first round of the FA Cup.
Goals from Deji Oshilaja and Joe Powell secured a place in the second round for the Brewers, where they will host National League South club Chippenham Town.
The FA Cup could provide a welcome distraction for Dino Maamria's side this season, as they currently sit bottom of League One, having won just three of their 17 games so far.
They come into this clash having lost their last two outings in the league – a 2-1 defeat away against Bolton Wanderers, before suffering a 4-2 loss at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday.
Maamria will be hoping the FA Cup victory last weekend can get his team back on track against a Charlton side that are sitting just outside of the playoff places.
Charlton booked their spot in the fourth round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, beating Stevenage 5-4 on penalties.
Goalkeeper Joe Wollacott was the hero for the visitors, after the Ghanian saved Jake Taylor's effort before Scott Fraser converted the winning penalty to send the Addicks through to the next round.
Ben Garner's side also booked their place in the FA Cup second round last weekend, courtesy of a 4-1 home success over Coalville Town.
The Addicks also beat Brighton & Hove Albion's Under-21s in the EFL Trophy on November 2, with their last League One fixture proving to be the 4-4 draw with Ipswich Town at the end of last month.
A total of 23 points from 17 matches has left Charlton in ninth position in their domestic table, just four points behind sixth-placed Bolton Wanderers.
Garner will be eager to see his side extend their three-game winning streak here, and this could be the perfect fixture for them to do so.
Team News
Joe Powell's goal off the bench last weekend could be enough to earn him a start on Saturday.
Victor Adeboyejo is the club's top scorer in League One, finding the net on seven occasions in 17 appearances, so it seems likely he will lead the line for the Brewers here.
As for the visitors, Ben Garner praised Jake Forster-Caskey's impact from the bench last time out against Stevenage, so the central midfielder could be given the nod to start on Saturday, especially given the fact that Conor McGrandles is out with an ankle injury.
Joe Wollacott will retain his place between the sticks after his heroics against Stevenage, while Jayden Stockley looks set to start up front for the Addicks once again this weekend.
Burton Albion possible starting lineup:
Garratt; Hamer, Hughes, Mariappa, Oshilaja; Butcher, Taylor; Smith, Onyango, Powell; Adeboyejo
Charlton Athletic possible starting lineup:
Wollacott; Clare, Lavelle, Mitchell, Sessegnon; Rak-Sakyi, Forster-Caskey, Fraser, Payne; Kirk, Stockley
We say: Burton Albion 0-2 Charlton Athletic
Charlton will be favourites entering this match, and rightly so looking at Burton's form.
We struggle to see the Brewers having any joy against the Addicks, who have the chance to close the gap to the teams in the playoff places.
