Sports Mole previews Sunday's Bundesliga clash between Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

The final game of matchday 15 in the Bundesliga will see third-placed Bayer Leverkusen travel to Deutsche Bank Park to face Eintracht Frankfurt.

After suffering a 3-2 defeat to Hoffenheim last weekend, the hosts will be aiming to bounce back, while the visitors are looking to secure their fourth consecutive league victory.

Match preview

A run of three successive Bundesliga victories came to an end for Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend, when they lost to Hoffenheim in an encounter filled with goals.

SGE could not have wished for a better start, taking the lead in the 15th minute through Rafael Borre, but their task become insurmountable when Hoffenheim surged into a 3-1 lead, and though Goncalo Paciencia pulled one back, the damage was already done.

That disappointing result leaves Oliver Glasner's side in 12th place, with only five points separating themselves and the relation playoff place, although, due to the close-fought nature of the Bundesliga this term, they are also only five points adrift of the top six.

Domestic action may be their main focus this weekend, but on Thursday they faced a tricky away trip in the Europa League when they travelled to Turkey for a meeting with Fenerbahce.

Glasner's men started the brightest, and they were rewarded with the opener in the 29th minute when Djibril Sow's strike found the net, but Mergim Berisha restored parity before half time, and no goals in the second period ensured that the encounter ended in a 1-1 draw.

The point was enough to secure top spot in their group, and they will be looking to build upon that result when they face Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.

The visitors enter the contest in blistering domestic form after winning three Bundesliga games in a row, including a superb 7-1 victory last weekend.

Although that win came against struggling Greuther Furth, the clinical display did no harm to Leverkusen's confidence as they dismantled their opponents.

Die Werkself took a 3-1 lead into the interval, with Amine Adli, Edmond Tapsoba and Piero Hincapie all among the goals, but it was the second half when Leverkusen took their opponents to task.

A destructive second period saw Patrik Schick net on four occasions to become the first Leverkusen player to score four goals in a Bundesliga match.

Like Sunday's opponents, Leverkusen were also in Europa League, but with top spot in the group already guaranteed, Die Werkself took their foot off the gas and lost 1-0 away to Ferencvaros.

As they turn their attentions back to league matters, Gerardo Seoane will be reminding his side of their excellent away form that has seen them rack up 15 points on their travels - only Bayern Munich have picked up more points away from home in the Bundesliga this season.

Team News

Eintracht Frankfurt head into the weekend with no reported injury concerns.

Christopher Lenz has returned from injury to feature in Frankfurt's last two matchday squads, although he was an unused substitute in both of those fixtures and is likely to be on the bench once again for Sunday's contest.

After coming into the starting lineup for Thursday's contest, Jens Hauge is expected to keep his place in the side for the meeting with Leverkusen.

With regards to the visitors, they rested a number of players for their Europa League encounter, with Seoane expected to name a similar side to the one that started against Greuther Furth last weekend.

Mitchel Bakker will not feature for Leverkusen, with the full-back still nursing an ankle problem, while Julian Baumgartlinger and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are also out injured.

Following his memorable display last weekend, Schick will lead the line for the away side as he aims to add to his 12-goal tally in the Bundesliga this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt possible starting lineup:
Trapp; Hasebe, N'Dicka, Tuta; Chandler, Jakic, Sow, Kostic; Kamada, Hauge, Borre

Bayer Leverkusen possible starting lineup:
Hradecky; Retsos, Tah, Tapsoba, Hincapie; Andrich, Palacios, Wirtz; Diaby, Adli, Schick

We say: Eintracht Frankfurt 1-3 Bayer Leverkusen

Frankfurt have only managed to win one home league game this term, and with that in mind, we think that the visitors will prevail on Sunday given the fact they are still yet to lose on their travels in the Bundesliga this season.
