After losing 2-1 to Fatih Karagumruk last weekend, Giresunspor will be looking for a response when they welcome Adana Demirspor to the Cotanak Sports Complex.
The visitors, meanwhile, occupy fifth position, and they need to make up a five-point gap if they are to finish inside the Super Lig top four.
Match preview
Giresunspor sit just outside of the relegation zone, but with just four matches left to play, Friday's hosts enjoy a 10-point buffer to the bottom four.
They will be hoping to make sure of their Super Lig place on Friday, although hopes of a victory may be slim with their last five matches yielding just one win.
Hakan Keles must also pick his side up after they gave up a lead to lose 2-1 against Fatih Karagumruk last weekend.
In the 48th minute, Chiquinho gave Giresunspor the lead from the spot, but only three minutes later, Aleksandar Pesic dispatched his penalty to restore parity before Jimmy Durmaz netted what proved to be the winner.
Despite their recent form suggesting there is room for improvement, Giresunspor can extend their unbeaten home run to five matches with a positive result on Friday.
Adana Demirspor, on the other hand, require a strong finish to the season if they are to finish in the top four of the Super Lig.
A fifth-placed finish could be enough to qualify for Europe depending on which team wins the Turkish Cup, but even a spot in the top five is far from secure for a side that have lost their last two matches.
They followed a 4-0 defeat to Kasimpasa with another loss last weekend, as league leaders Trabzonspor eased to a 3-1 victory thanks to goals from Bruno Peres, Andreas Cornelius and Djaniny.
A late strike from Matias Vargas added a degree of respectability to the scoreline, but Adana Demirspor need wins if they are to guarantee themselves a European place.
Vincenzo Montella will be looking for his side to draw inspiration from the 1-0 victory that they picked up over Giresunspor in the reverse fixture.

Team News
The hosts are still without Erol Akdag and Arda Kilic, who are both long-term injury absentees.
Sergen Picinciol has started the last two matches, and with Giresunspor expected to name an unchanged lineup, the defender will continue to operate in the centre of defence alongside Alexis Perez.
Umut Nayir will lead the line for the hosts with the forward looking to add to the five league goals that he has scored this season.
As for the visitors, Montella is expected to have a fully-fit squad to choose from, although he is unable to call upon Mario Balotelli who will serve the second game of his two-match suspension.
Tayyib Sanuc is set to return to the starting lineup after dropping down to the bench against Trabzonspor, with the defender in line to partner Samet Akaydin in the centre of defence.
Britt Assombalonga is likely to lead the line for the visitors and the former Middlesbrough man will be aiming to end a barren run of eight appearances without a goal.
Giresunspor possible starting lineup:
Kocuk; Bilazer, Picinciol, Perez, Behich; Flavio, Traore; Suleymanov, Chiquinho, Serginho; Nayir
Adana Demirspor possible starting lineup:
Muric; Svensson, Akaydin, Sanuc, Rassoul; Inler, Bjarnason; Akintola, Akgun, Vargas; Assombalonga
We say: Giresunspor 1-1 Adana Demirspor
Giresunspor have lost just one of their last six competitive home meetings with Adana Demirspor, and we think that they will avoid defeat on Friday when they face the fifth-placed side that have lost their last two matches by a combined 7-1 scoreline.
