Queens Park Rangers have extended their lead at the top of the Championship with a 1-0 win at Leeds United.
A single Clint Hill goal in the second half was enough for Rangers to take all three points at Elland Road.
QPR started brightly and thought that they had taken the lead after just eight minutes. Joey Barton collected the ball inside the box and finished well, but the assistant referee raised his flag and the goal was disallowed.
The visitors continued to dominate possession without creating many chances and allowed Leeds to get on top towards the end of the half, but neither side really threatened a goal.
After the break both teams made attacking changes. Dominic Poleon came on for the hosts, while Junior Hoilett was sent on by Harry Redknapp.
It was QPR who continued to force the issue, though, with Charlie Austin missing a couple of half-chances. They did take the lead with 15 minutes left when Hill tapped in from close range after Leeds failed to deal with a cross.
Leeds pushed forward after that, with Poleon missing a difficult chance, but the visitors held firm and could have doubled their lead on the break had Hoilett and Shaun Wright-Phillips taken a little more care.
Rodolph Austin grazed the crossbar for Leeds with seconds remaining, but it was too little too late for the hosts.
