Manchester United have confirmed that Alex Telles will be able to face them in the Europa League, with the defender currently on loan at Spanish outfit Sevilla.
There had been some confusion over Telles's availability for the two-legged quarter-final, with reports suggesting that the Brazil international would be ineligible against his parent club.
However, Man United have confirmed that the 30-year-old will be able to feature against them.
"We can confirm the on-loan defender will be eligible to face the Reds in the two-legged tie, with the first game taking place at Old Trafford on 13 April," read a statement on the club's official website.
Telles has been a regular for Sevilla during the 2022-23 campaign, featuring on 27 occasions in all competitions, contributing three assists in the process.
The Brazilian has played nine times for the Spanish outfit in Europe this term, meanwhile, turning out on six occasions in the Champions League and three times in the Europa League.
A recent report claimed that Telles is set to return to Old Trafford this summer, with Sevilla deciding against purchasing him on a permanent basis.
Sevilla have allegedly been impressed by his 'commitment and performance' during the 2022-23 campaign but cannot afford to meet Man United's asking price.
There is unlikely to be a regular spot available at Old Trafford next season, though, as Tyrell Malacia was brought in last summer to provide competition for Luke Shaw at left-back.
As a result, Telles, who moved to Man United from Portuguese giants Porto in the summer of 2020, could join another club during this summer's transfer window.
Despite having the chance to win the Europa League this season, Sevilla recently sacked head coach Jorge Sampaoli, with the club only two points above the relegation zone in the La Liga table.
Los Nervionenses have since named the experienced Jose Luis Mendilibar as their new manager, with the 62-year-old set to take charge of his first game against Cadiz on April 1.
Sevilla will head to Man United for the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on April 13, before the reverse match at Estadio Ramon takes place one week later.
