Wilfried Bony has given Swansea City a 1-0 lead at the break in their Europa League group clash against Valencia.
The Premier League outfit were given an early advantage when their Spanish opponents were brought down to 10 men following the dismissal of Adil Rami.
The France defender was given his marching orders for denying Bony a goalscoring opportunity by bringing him down after the Swansea forward nicked the ball from Ever Banega.
The Swans' pressure paid off when Michu pulled the ball back to play in Bony, who managed to fire his shot into the back of the net from the edge of the box to give his side the lead.
Valencia were forced to make tactical changes following Ramil's red card, but they were unable to break down the Welsh outfit and create any real goalscoring chances.
Bony could have put the Swans 2-0 before half time after driving past Ricardo Costa and launching a shot towards the goal, but his effort flew wide.
