Swansea City defender Angel Rangel has said that his side must be aware of the effect that a new manager will have on Sunderland.
Gus Poyet was appointed as the club's new boss two weeks ago and his first match in charge will be against Swansea City on Saturday.
"When you get a new manager in a situation like this all the players are going to give probably an extra 100%," Rangel told BBC Sport.
"They need to prove themselves to him. Swansea is not an easy place to come and hopefully we can play our own game and win it."
Sunderland currently sit bottom of the Premier League.
