Sports Mole previews Saturday's Eredivisie clash between Vitesse and PSV Eindhoven, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Vitesse and PSV Eindhoven will lock horns at the GelreDome on Saturday, as both sides seek to continue their winning start to the new Eredivisie campaign.

Vites enjoyed a 2-1 opening-day victory against FC Volendam, while the visitors started their season off with a comprehensive win over FC Utrecht.

Match preview

Vitesse will be looking to improve on a relatively disappointing campaign, as Phillip Cocu's side finished 10th with 40 points, finishing 14 points adrift of the top seven.

However, Vitesse did manage to start the new campaign off on a positive note, winning their opening-day clash against FC Volendam.

Robert Muhren gave the hosts the lead in the 10th minute, before he was shown a red card for a high challenge on Matthijs Tielemans. Tielemans later marked his debut for the visitors with a goal to make it 1-1.

Maximilian Wittek hit the post before substitute Marco van Ginkel fired Vitesse to victory with just four minutes left of normal time.

Next up is the challenge of toppling a PSV Eindhoven side who they have not managed to get the better of in their last five encounters.

Meanwhile, PSV Eindhoven kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 victory over FC Utrecht at the Phillips Stadion, courtesy of strikes from Noa Lang and Yorbe Vertessen.

Utrecht were not expected to provide a formidable challenge to PSV during their Eredivisie opener at the weekend, and Peter Bosz's side got the job done with relative ease.

The Lightbulbs followed that victory up with another impressive display, putting another three goals past Sturm Graz on Tuesday evening in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier, to win the tie 7-2 on aggregate and set up a repeat of last year's playoff against Rangers.

Four wins from three different competitions represents the dream start to Bosz's tenure at PSV, who edged out Feyenoord in the Dutch Super Cup before their Champions League success against Sturm Graz.

Starting as they mean to go on both domestically and continentally, PSV are now on a 21-game unbeaten run across all competitive fixtures since a 3-0 Europa League defeat to eventual winners Sevilla back in February, with Bosz's new manager bounce seemingly in full effect.

Team News

Thomas Buitink and Davy Propper are both ruled out with long-term knee injuries, and neither of them will play any part for Vitesse here.

Marco van Ginkel may be rewarded with a place in the starting XI after his heroics off the bench last weekend.

As for the visitors, Mauro Junior was suspended for the second-leg tie against Sturm Graz in midweek, although the left-back is also suffering from a knee injury.

Armando Obispo and Fredrik Oppegard both remain on the treatment table, while Luuk de Jong is expected to lead the line here.

Vitesse possible starting lineup:
Room; Wittek, Isimat-Marin, Oroz, Arcus; Meulensteen, Tielemans; Kozlowski, Boutrah, Manhoef; Hamulic

PSV Eindhoven possible starting lineup:
Benitez; Teze, Ramalho, Boscagli, Van Aanholt; Veerman, Sangare, Til; Bakayoko, Vertessen, De Jong

We say: Vitesse 0-2 PSV Eindhoven

PSV have started the season in brilliant form, and it is tough to see Vitesse slowing them down here, especially since the visitors are unbeaten in their last five encounters against Phillip Cocu's side.

We believe Bosz's men will make it two wins from two to begin the new Eredivisie campaign.
