Sports Mole previews Saturday's Turkish Super Lig clash between Altay and Kasimpasa, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Sports Mole

Already-relegated Altay will conclude the Super Lig season at home to mid-table Kasimpasa when the pair meet on Saturday afternoon.

Having successfully negotiated the drop, Kasimpasa will be eyeing up a last-day-of-the-season victory, whereas Altay's attention will have no doubt already switched to earning promotion from the second tier.

Match preview

One of the division's form sides in spring, Kasimpasa have lost just three of their previous 10 matches in the Super Lig – results which have helped them steer away from a relegation scrap.

Taking points off the sides around them in the table, Kasimpasa's form away from home is even more impressive, with the Apaches having lost only one of their last six road trips.

Looking to extend that impressive record on the road this weekend, Kasimpasa will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet, as in those six away games they have netted a healthy 17 goals.

Comfortably the favourites heading into the clash against Altay, Kasimpasa will be looking to secure the double over the hosts, having brushed them aside in their earlier meeting this season.

A 2-0 victory saw the Apaches take all three points, with Altay's last victory against Kasimpasa coming all the way back in 2009.

That game took place in the second tier of Turkish football, which is where Altay will be plying their trade next season having been relegated from the Super Lig.

While they will not finish the season rock bottom, a gap of just under 10 points between them and safety means relegation had been inevitable for some time.

One victory since mid-March did little to alleviate Altay's struggles, who will be hoping to sign off from the top flight with only their second win in nine league matches.

Team News

Expected to be up against it this weekend, Altay will be without midfield duo Tolga Unlu and Zeki Yildirim, who are both missing with muscle problems.

While also recovering from a muscle issue, there is hope that Deniz Kadah may yet be involved for Altay, with the forward expected to undergo a late fitness check.

Unlike their hosts, the Kasimpasa injury list makes for much worse reading, as the away side are without five first team regulars heading into the weekend.

In the midst of a crisis at the back, defenders Mortadha Ben Ouanes and Evren Eren Elmali are both absent with muscle problems, whereas Uros Spajic is out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Similarly to Spajic, Tarkan Serbest has also suffered an ACL injury meaning that he will miss the final day, while Sakib Aytac is not expected to be in action for Kasimpasa.

Altay possible starting lineup:
Topaloglu; Karatas, Thiam, Bjoerkander, Karayel; Rodriguez, Yildirim, Thaciano, Poko, Kappel, Rayan

Kasimpasa possible starting lineup:
Piri; Yavru, Picinciol, Perez, Tasdemir; Traore, Flavio; Diabate, Chiquinho, Gumuskaya; Nayir

We say: Altay 1-2 Kasimpasa

Altay have endured a difficult season in the first tier and will be thankful of the campaign's conclusion, as they target an immediate return next time around.

As for Kasimpasa, safety has been secured and they will travel to Altay confident of taking a result against the hosts.
