Fenerbahce have fallen further behind the Turkish Super Lig leaders in recent weeks, but they will hope to at least maintain this gap by picking up a win over Bodrumspor at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, Bodrum have also seen their rankings drop in recent weeks, having now failed to win any of their last two matches.
Match preview
Fenerbahce had to fight back from a first-half deficit to claim a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in the Europa League on Thursday.
Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands for his furious reaction when Manuel Ugarte collided with Bright Osayi-Samuel in the box, and the referee failed to award the Yellow Canaries a penalty.
It was the third straight draw across all competitions for Fenerbahce, having played 1-1 with Twente in the Europa League before last weekend's 2-2 draw with Samsuspor in the Super Lig.
The Yellow Canaries conceded an 88th-minute goal to draw the game, and subsequently saw the gap between them and league leaders Galatasaray grow to eight points, having picked up 17 points which has left them in fourth place.
Fenerbahce know they need maximum points in what will be the first-ever meeting with Bodrum, else they will make an already huge task of catching Galatasaray even bigger.
Bodrum have now failed to win in their last two games following a 1-0 defeat to Caykur Rizespor, in what was their third home defeat by the same scoreline this season.
However, another huge concern for manager Ismet Tasdemir will be his team's failure to find the net in consecutive matches for the second time this season.
Bodrum slipped to 12th place having picked up 10 points from nine matches, and are four points ahead of Gaziantep who are the first side in the relegation zone.
This will be the biggest challenge so far for Tasdemir's men who are unbeaten in their last two away matches, winning and drawing one each, after losing the opening two games on the road.
Team News
Fenerbahce's Jayden Oosterwolde is ruled out for up to five months with a cruciate ligament injury he sustained in the draw against Samsunspor.
Most of the previously injured players returned for the draw with Manchester United, with only Cengiz Under (groin) remaining sidelined.
Bodrum are uncertain about the availability of Suleyman Ozdamar and Tunahan Akpinar for the clash, while Mustafa Erdilman is out until next year with a ligament injury.
Meanwhile, Christophe Herelle and Gokdeniz Bayrakdar are sidelined until next month with ankle and appendicitis issues respectively.
Fenerbahce possible starting lineup:
Livakovic; Djiku, Soyuncu, Becao, Muldur; Amrabat, Fred; Tadic, Szymanski, Saint-Maximin; En-Nesyri
Bodrumspor possible starting lineup:
Sousa; Celustka, Ajeti, Aytemur, Ergun; Aslan, Mohammed; Dimitrov, Brazao, Fredy; Puscas
We say: Fenerbahce 2-0 Bodrumspor
Fenerbahce are the favourites to win this clash, as they have more quality than Bodrum and are on a better run of form compared to the visitors who are struggling to score goals in recent weeks.
