Giresunspor will look to end a four-game winless run in the Turkish Super Lig when they welcome Besiktas to the Cotanak Stadium on Saturday.
The visitors, meanwhile, have failed to win any of their last three games, although they have only lost one of their eight league matches this season.
Match preview
Giresunspor began the campaign with two victories from their opening three games, but they are winless in their last four outings.
Although they are currently experiencing a poor run of form, Saturday's hosts have at least played out 1-1 draws in their previous two matches following consecutive defeats to Kayserispor and Konyaspor.
However, those two draws could have easily resulted in victories after Mbaye Diagne's 92nd-minute equaliser denied them all three points against Fatih Karagumruk, and another late goal ensured that the spoils were shared in last Sunday's meeting with Alanyaspor.
Gorkem Saglam had given Giresunspor the lead from the spot in the 65th minute, but a Jure Balkovec strike nine minutes from time helped Alanyaspor snatch a point.
Having scored only two goals in their last four matches, Giresunspor know that they will need to improve in the final third if they are to return to winning ways.
While Giresunspor currently occupy 12th place with eight points to their name, Besiktas are seven points better off in sixth position.
The visitors head into the weekend just two points adrift of top spot, but they will be looking to end their own winless run.
Besiktas' opening five games yielded four wins and a draw, but they have failed to win any of their last three encounters.
Istanbul Basaksehir claimed a narrow 1-0 victory to condemn the Black Eagles to their first defeat of the season, before they played out draws against Istanbulspor and their local rivals Fenerbahce.
Having lost only one of their eight league games, Besiktas will head into Saturday's contest in a confident mood as they look to maintain their unbeaten away record.
Team News
After being sent off in the fourth minute of last weekend's 1-1 draw with Alanyaspor, Serginho will be suspended for the hosts.
With Serginho unavailable for Saturday's contest, Hakan Keles could present Brandley Kuwas with his first start for Konyaspor since arriving from Maccabi Tel Aviv in September.
Riad Bajic will continue to lead the line as he looks to add to the two goals that he has scored in his seven appearances this season.
As for Besiktas, they are expected to be without the services of Atiba Hutchinson and Georges-Kevin N'Koudou due to injury issues.
Dele Alli returned from injury to feature in the starting XI for the goalless draw against rivals Fenerbahce, and the Everton loanee is set to retain his place, with Valerien Ismael likely to name an unchanged lineup.
Meanwhile, Wout Weghorst will provide one of the main goal threats for the visitors after scoring three times this season.
Giresunspor possible starting lineup:
Piri; Bilazer, Arias, Perez, Uludag; Mejia, Campuzano; Kuwas, Saglam, Sainz; Bajic
Besiktas possible starting lineup:
Destanoglu; Rosier, Sanuc, Saiss, Masuaku; Ucan, Souza; Muleka, Alli, Redmond; Weghorst
We say: Giresunspor 1-2 Besiktas
Besiktas are yet to lose away from home this season, and we think that they will claim their second away win when they face a Giresunspor side who have lost two of their three home games this term.
