Sports Mole previews Sunday's Turkish Super Lig clash between Giresunspor and Fenerbahce, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Sports Mole

Two teams at opposite ends of the Turkish Super Lig table will meet on Sunday as Giresunspor continue to try and push out of the relegation zone as they welcome Fenerbahce.

The visitors currently sit just three points off the top of the table, placing serious pressure on both teams heading into this one.

Match preview

The hosts sit 16th right now in the league table and with the season drawing to a close there is a lot to play for heading into every single match.

Giresunspor are five points away from safety right now, and a defeat here could see them sink even further into the relegation zone if other results go against them.

The team head into this match on the back of three defeats which they will be hoping to turn around here, especially after they failed to score a goal against a 10-man Istanbul on Monday night.

Hakan Keles's men have picked up more victories at home which should bring a little confidence into this match, but the team have struggled drastically from a defensive point of view.

Giresunspor have conceded 55 goals throughout this season, and they come into this one with a -25 goal difference which is not ideal considering their opponents this weekend.

The visitors have scored 75 goals throughout this campaign which is more than any other team in the division, which should lead to them bringing a lot of confidence to this one.

Fenerbahce currently trails Galatasaray by three points heading into the final run-in for the season, making every game a must-win scenario for the club.

They are undefeated in seven matches heading into this one providing a lot of momentum, but they were held to a goalless draw in their most recent outing against Sivasspor.

Despite the fact they will head into this game as favourites due to their league position, Fenerbahce were defeated the last time that they met this season.

Borja Sainz scored a brace in that match to bring Giresunspor back from behind, which is a result the visitors will want to put behind them.

Team News

Sainz will be one of the main attacking threats for the hosts this weekend, and after scoring a brace against their opponents previously he should have the confidence to cause problems.

Giresunspor will be missing several key players, though, as Robert Mejia, Ramon Arias and Hayrullah Bilazer are all on the sidelines right now.

For the visitors Ferdi Kadioglu will be a key member of the midfield who has provided creativity and goals throughout his season.

Enner Valencia will bring his experience to the team and is sure to lead the line, but Fenerbahce will be without Irfan Kahveci due to suspension.

Giresunspor possible starting lineup:
Piri; Ulvan, Saglam, Genc, Uludag; Campuzano, Akpinar, Kuwas; Serginho, Bajic, Sainz

Fenerbahce possible starting lineup:
Egribayat; Osayi-Samuel, Aziz, Akaydin, Peres; Guler, Arao, Yandas, Kadioglu; Pedro, Valencia

We say: Giresunspor 0-4 Fenerbahce

Both teams have got a lot to play for heading into this game which should create some pressure, but ultimately Fenerbahce should have the quality to comfortably win this one.
