Aiming to record consecutive victories for the first time this term, Cambuur visit De Adelaarshorst on Sunday to lock horns against Go Ahead Eagles.

The home side, on the other hand, set out to return to winning ways having seen their run of three straight victories come to an end last time out.

Match preview

Go Ahead Eagles claimed an impressive 1-1 stalemate against defending champions Ajax in Saturday's encounter between the teams at the Johan Cruyff ArenA.

Rene Hake's men fell behind on the stroke of half time to Davy Klaassen's opener before drawing level through Willum Thor Willumsson in the 78th minute.

With seven points picked up from the last nine available, The Pride of the IJssel Kowet have moved up to 13th in the Eredivisie table and are now two points clear of the drop zone.

Coming up next is the challenge of an opposing outfit who have come out on top in just one of the last five meetings between the teams.

Having recently recorded their first home triumph of the season, Sunday's hosts go in search of back-to-back wins in front of their fans for the first time since July.

Cambuur ended a four-match losing streak in grand style thanks to a 3-0 demolition of PSV Eindhoven at the Cambuur Stadion on Saturday afternoon.

Following a drab opening 45 minutes, second-half goals from Silvester van der Water, Mitchel Paulissen and Sai van Wermeskerken got the job done for Henk de Jong's men.

The Yellow-Blues have moved out of the bottom three as a result and now sit level on points with this weekend's opponents ahead of the contest in Deventer.

Off the back of nine goals conceded in their last two matches on the road, Sunday's visitors will be eager to avoid another thrashing away from home.

Team News

Roberts Uldrikis missed his side's victory over PSV Eindhoven due to a muscle injury and the 24-year-old is not expected to feature this weekend.

The hosts will also be without the services of Maxim Gullit and Robin Maulun, who are ruled out with knee and thigh injuries respectively.

Since making his return to action, Willum Thor Willumsson has supplied a goal and an assist in two matches, making him one to keep an eye on.

Jose Fontan will be pushing for a start here having made a late cameo against Ajax last time out which was his first appearance for Go Ahead Eagles since August.

Go Ahead Eagles possible starting lineup:
De Lange; Kuipers, Idzes, Amofa, Deijl; Edvardsen, Rommens, Linthorst, Willumsson; Lidberg, Adekanye

Cambuur possible starting lineup:
Virginia; Wermeskerken, Bergsma, Tol, Schmidt; Van Kaam, Jacobs, Paulissen; Balk, Van der Water, Boere

We say: Go Ahead Eagles 1-1 Cambuur

There is little separating the teams coming into this one and the game could easily swing either way.

We expect the sides to cancel each other out over the course of the 90 minutes and settle for a point apiece in the end.
