Round 12 of the 2023-24 Turkish Super Lig campaign comes to an end with a meeting between Adana Demirspor and Fenerbahce at Yeni Adana Stadyumu on Sunday.

The hosts head into this one off the back of a share of the spoils last time out, while the visitors will be aiming to avoid a third straight loss across all competitions.

Match preview

Fenerbahce fell to a 2-0 defeat against Ludogorets in Thursday's Europa Conference League meeting between the teams at the Huvepharma Arena.

Ismail Kartal's men trailed at half time to Jakub Piotrowski's opener in the 17th minute before Rwan Seco put the result beyond doubt in second-half stoppage time.

This came off the back of a 3-2 loss against Trabzonspor for the Yellow Canaries, which saw them drop to second place in the Turkish Super Lig table, one point behind city rivals Galatasaray.

Coming up next is the challenge of an opposing outfit with just one win from the previous six editions of this fixture, losing four of the other five.

Having seen their 10-game winning run come to an end last time out, Sunday's visitors will be keen to string together another run of impressive results on the road.

Adana Demirspor had to make do with a point from their clash against Sivasspor in a 1-1 stalemate at Yeni 4 Eylul Stadyumu on Sunday.

Patrick Kluivert's men fell behind to Fode Koita's early strike but managed to restore parity three minutes before the hour mark through Benjamin Stambouli.

With 21 points amassed from 11 matches so far, the Blue Lightnings have made a fine start to the season and sit fourth in the standings.

Currently on a run of nine straight home wins, Sunday's hosts have established themselves as a real force to be reckoned with in front of their fans.

Team News

Brazilian quartet Fred, Lincoln, Rodrigo Becao and Luan Peres are all unavailable for Fenerbahce through injury, while Joshua King also remains sidelined.

Alexander Djiku has missed each of the visitors' last three matches with a broken leg and the defender is still a considerable way making a return to action.

Edin Dzeko is definitely one to keep an eye on this weekend as he leads the way in the scoring charts with 10 strikes to his name, level with Mauro Icardi.

Mario Balotelli boasts three goals from his four league matches for Adana Demirspor this term, making the striker one to keep an eye on here.

Babajide David Akintola was named on the bench last time out, but it remains to be seen if the 27-year-old will be deemed fit enough to feature for the hosts.

Adana Demirspor possible starting lineup:
Ozbir; Rodrigues, Burak, Guler, Cokcalis; Ndiaye, Stambouli; Zeneli, Belhanda, Erdogan; Niang

Fenerbahce possible starting lineup:
Livakovic; Osayi-Samuel, Akaydin, Oosterwolde, Kadioglu; Zajc, Crespo; Tadic, Szymanski, Kahveci; Dzeko

We say: Adana Demirspor 2-3 Fenerbahce

With the Turkish Super Lig's two highest-scoring teams going head-to-head in this one, we are anticipating an action-packed contest. We can also see the visitors just about seeing off the threat of their hosts to emerge victorious.
