Sports Mole previews Tuesday's National League clash between Dagenham & Redbridge and Wrexham, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

The National League reaches gameweek 37 in midweek as title-chasing Wrexham travel to Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night.

The hosts sit 10th in the table ahead of the meeting with the Welsh side, whilst their visitors are top of the standings as we enter the business end of the campaign.

Match preview

Daryl McMahon's Dagenham are mid-table in the National League having recorded three wins and as many losses in their last six outings.

The Essex side's last match was a 2-1 victory at home to York City on Saturday, with Dean Rance scoring the winner in the 71st minute after Shaqai Forde's opener for the travelling side was cancelled out in the first half by Inih Effiong.

Back-to-back wins and a fourth triumph in their last five matches could put the Daggers just a point outside the playoff places.

Any kind of top-half finish would represent a fine turnaround for them after they won just three times in their opening 10 matches - a 4-1 defeat to Wrexham in the reverse fixture left them 17th in the table.

The centre-forwards have really come up trumps for McMahon's side this term, as 10 goals from Junior Morias together with the four provided by Inih Effiong in eight appearances since his move from Aldershot Town have kept Dagenham's promotion flame flickering.

Josh Walker also contributed a double-figure haul of strikes to their tally before his transfer to Burton Albion in January.

Wrexham are having the time of their lives under the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, as well as the astute management of Phil Parkinson. The Welsh side are top of the National League and reached the fourth round of the FA Cup where they were beaten by Sheffield United.

The Red Dragons are a massive 20 points clear of Woking in third but they will have to hold off the challenge of Notts County in second if they are to have a title to go with their inevitable promotion, as the Magpies are just a point behind them in the table.

Parkinson's side have scored a whopping 90 goals en route to the Football League, 29 of which have been netted by Paul Mullin who has been a true talisman for the Welsh outfit all season.

Mullin is four behind Macauley Langstaff in the race for the Golden Boot, so he has a personal incentive to continue rattling in the strikes as the season reaches its climax besides the benefit for his club.

Mullin's numbers have been supplemented by 14 from his strike partner Ollie Palmer, while few statistics have demonstrated Wrexham's dominance over the rest of the division more than the 12 goals scored by centre-back Aaron Hayden.

Wrexham travel to Dagenham off the back of a 2-2 draw away at Maidenhead United in their last match, so they will be looking to return to winning ways on Tuesday night as they hope to cement their position at the summit of the National League.

Team News

Daryl McMahon has a fully-fit squad to choose from ahead of the clash with Wrexham, so Dagenham are likely to field their preferred 11.

Angelo Balanta will partner Morias upfront, whilst Effiong will be charged with providing additional attacking support from the right wing.

Mohammed Sagaf should keep his place in midfield despite being taken off for the final 10 minutes against York.

Wrexham winger Jordan Davies is out with a knee injury, so Elliot Lee will retain his place in the midfield having started against Maidenhead at the weekend.

The Welsh side otherwise have no other fitness concerns, so Phil Parkinson can put out his usual 11 in a 4-4-2 formation with Sam Dalby and Mullin playing together as two forwards.

Dagenham & Redbridge possible starting lineup:
Justham; Hare, Onariase, Weston, Rance; Ling, Sagaf, Robinson, Effiong; Balanta, Morias

Wrexham possible starting lineup:
Howard; Barnett, Cleworth, Young, Tunnicliffe; Tozer, Mendy, Cannon, Lee; Dalby, Mullin

We say: Dagenham & Redbridge 0-3 Wrexham

Wrexham are rampant right now and should have more than enough to sweep aside mid-table Dagenham, as Paul Mullin alone may be too much for their defence to handle on Tuesday night.
