Sports Mole previews Monday's CONCACAF Nations League clash between Haiti and Jamaica, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Sports Mole

Haiti take on Jamaica at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on Sunday evening, in the fourth match in Group B of the CONCACAF Nations League.

As things stand, the hosts are fourth in the group, while the visitors are top, two points clear of second-placed Cuba.

Match preview

Haiti are still undefeated in the Nations League, despite the fact they are yet to win a game, having drawn their opening three matches, most recently sharing the spoils with Suriname at the Franklin Essed Stadion.

The Grenadiers were the better team for large periods, recording seven shots on target, while their opponents only mustered up three, but they ended up playing out a 1-1 draw, with Mikael Cantave scoring his second goal for his country.

Having collected three points in their first three games, Gabriel Calderon's side are two points behind second-placed Cuba, so they still stand a chance of qualifying for the playoffs, and they could move up to second place with a win on Sunday night.

However, Haiti are set for a tough test against a Jamaica side that have been very impressive in the CONCACAF Nations League, taking seven points from their opening three games, which leaves them top of Group B.

The Reggae Boyz are on a very promising run of form in all competitions, having won five, drawn two and lost just one of their last eight games, picking up an impressive draw against the USA at Soldier Field back in March.

The only group game Heimir Hallgrimsson's side did not win was the reverse fixture against the Grenadiers, drawing 2-2 at Independence Park back in September after overturning a two-goal deficit in the second half.

Jamaica are in a very strong position to qualify for the playoffs, having won their other two games, defeating Honduras 1-0 at home and breezing past Grenada in their last match.

Last time out, the Reggae Boyz were resounding 4-1 winners away against Grenada, with Kevon Lambert, Shamar Nicholson, Demarai Gray and Bobby Reid getting on the scoresheet at the Grenada National Stadium.

Team News

Louicius Don Deedson is Haiti's leading scorer in Group B with two goals to his name, and the 22-year-old is likely to start at left-wing, with Cantave on the opposite flank, playing provider for Fafa Picault and Duckens Nazon in attack.

Djimy-Bend Alexis missed the last match after being shown a red card in the reverse fixture against Jamaica, but the defensive midfielder is back available for selection on Sunday.

As for Jamaica, Daniel Johnson impressed after being brought on as a substitute against Grenada, assisting the fourth goal, and the attacking midfielder could be rewarded with a start.

Demarai Gray has looked very impressive in the Nations League scoring two goals, and the Al-Ettifaq star is set to start at left-wing, while Shamar Nicholson is set to lead the line alongside Romario Williams.

Haiti possible starting lineup:
Placide; Arcus, Jerome, Christian, Ade; Cantave, Sainte, Alceus, Deedson; Picault, Nizon

Jamaica possible starting lineup:
Waite; Gray, Hector, Bernard, Leigh; Reid, Latibeaudiere, Johnson, Gray; Williams, Nicholson

We say: Haiti 1-1 Jamaica

Haiti have drawn their opening three Group B games, including the reverse fixture against Jamaica in Kingston.

As such, we are expecting a draw on Sunday evening in what is likely to be a closely-contested encounter.
