Sports Mole previews Friday's Argentine Primera Division clash between Huracan and Atletico Tucuman, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Huracan will be aiming to end a winless streak of 12 matches in all competitions when they host Atletico Tucuman in the Argentine Primera Division on Friday.

The visitors, meanwhile, moved five points clear of their forthcoming opponents by beating Union Santa Fe at the weekend.

Match preview

After finishing fourth in the table last season, Huracan have endured a much tougher campaign this time around, leading to them sacking Sebastian Battaglia last week after he had spent less than two months in charge.

The former Boca Juniors boss failed to win any of his nine matches at the club, drawing four and losing five, with Globo crashing out of the Copa Sudamericana at the group stages and falling towards the bottom of the domestic table as a result.

It remains to be seen who they will turn to as the 42-year-old's replacement, but they clearly require direction sooner rather than later after dropping to second-bottom following their 1-0 defeat away to Independiente on Sunday.

That defeat marked the 12th time that Huracan have failed to score in their last 15 league matches, suggesting that whoever comes in as manager will need to prioritise fixing the major offensive problems which they clearly have.

Tucuman, meanwhile, finished just one point behind their forthcoming opponents in fifth place last time out, but they have suffered a dip in standards as well this season.

However, three consecutive home wins in recent weeks have helped them move up to 23rd in the table, with 16th-placed Barracas Central only three points ahead of them in what represents an incredibly compact division.

Estadio Monumental Jose Fierro is clearly becoming a difficult place for visiting teams to compete at once again, with Mateo Coronel scoring in each of his side's latest two victories there.

Having only won once in 11 away games in the league this season, head coach Lucas Pusineri clearly has plenty of work to do in terms of improving their form on the road, but they could hardly ask for a better opportunity to begin that process than facing the least in-form team in the entire division on Friday.

Team News

Huracan appear to have a fully-fit squad at their disposal, allowing them to mix things up should they wish to take that selection strategy.

Nicolas Cordero could be turned to in order to help the hosts provide more attacking threat, with the 24-year-old potentially joining Matias Coccaro as a front two.

Tucuman, meanwhile, are likely to travel without Lucas Naranjo and Cristian Menendez due to ongoing knee issues.

Marcelo Ortiz recovered from his own knee injury to appear from the bench against Union at the weekend, but it is likely to be too soon for the full-back to be starting matches at this stage of proceedings.

Huracan possible starting lineup:
Chavez; Soto, Tobio, Novillo, Ibanez; Gauto, Hezze, Fattori, Benitez; Coccaro, Cordero

Atletico Tucuman possible starting lineup:
Marchiori; Tesuri, Bianchi, Romero, Orihuela; Sanchez, Acosta, Kociubinski, Pereyra; Estigarribia, Coronel

We say: Huracan 0-0 Atletico Tucuman

Although Tucuman's form has hugely improved in recent outings, all of their victories have come at home, which will improve Huracan's confidence of gaining a positive result on Friday.

However, the hosts have massively struggled to score any goals at all of late, and we can envisage a scoreless draw in what could prove to be a rather drab affair.
