Utrecht put an end to a three-game losing streak in thrilling fashion courtesy of a 4-3 victory over Ajax at the Stadion Galgenwaard on Sunday.

Ron Jans's men led 2-0 through goals from Ryan Flamingo and Mike van der Hoorn but soon found themselves trailing following a quickfire double from Kristian Hlynsson and Steven Bergwijn's effort, only for Jens Toornstra and Oscar Fraulo to turn the game around with strikes in the final 20 minutes.

With six points picked up from nine matches so far, the Domstedelingen sit 16th in the league standings and are now just a point adrift of safety.

Kaj Sierhuis could be in line for a return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench to open his account for the season last time out.

Utrecht's Zidane Iqbal will not play any part for Utrecht this weekend as he continues his spell out of action with an ankle problem.

The home side will also have to make do with the absence of Bart Ramselaar, while Mike van der Hoorn remains a major injury doubt for this one.
